Recruitment and selection process

At ETSA Utilities we usually commence our recruitment campaign in March/April of each year. Advertisements are placed on University job boards, print media and our web site. We also attend University Careers Fairs where we detail graduate employment opportunities.

Applying

Applicants will need to apply online and attach their resume, academic transcripts and other relevant work and education information.

Short listing

Once all applications have been received, applications will be short listed and candidates selected to proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process. During this process, we will be evaluating your application based on various criteria.

Assessment Centre

In some cases an assessment centre will used to evaluate various competencies. Assessment Centres may encompass a range of group and individual activities designed to reflect the work that you would be undertaking as a graduate or situations you may come across.

At this assessment you may expect to participate in:

  • group exercises;
  • problem solving activities;
  • a presentation.

Interview

This is the opportunity for you and ETSA Utilities representatives to meet face-to-face to discuss graduate opportunities.

At the interview we will discuss your application, your experiences and what we are both looking for.

Reference checks

Once interviews are completed we may conduct a number of background checks to ensure you are suitable for the role you applied for. We may contact your nominated referees and discuss your application, past experiences and personal attributes with them.

Pre-employment medical

Prior to making an offer of employment a pre employment medical may be conducted. All results remain confidential.

Offer

If you are successful through all aspects of the selection process and we want to offer you employment you will receive an offer of employment. It will detail the conditions and benefits of working at ETSA Utilities.
